Alternator is one of the main parts in the electrical system of passenger cars, whose task is to charge the car’s battery and supply the car with electricity. Alternator can have one or three phases. Therefore, this part can convert the mechanical energy created by the car engine into electrical energy. The main components of the alternator include the rotor, stator, claw pole, and a set of coils. The rotor, which is fed by a pulley from the motor, rotates inside the stator and generates electricity. This piece looks like a finger or a claw, that’s why it is called alternator claw. The rotor in a dynamo is a rotating component that produces an electromagnetic field when connected to a power source. This rotating magnetic field induces an alternating current in the stator windings, which creates an electric force.
